I'm trying to be fair

As I understand a lot of work must have gone into this film, but newgrounds is for animations, and more specifically flash animations. This, I believe stops your film from qualifying as acceptable newgrounds content.

I didn't finish watching, partly due to the fact that it's not meant to be on this site, and partially because the rhyme/music that starts a short way into is really quite annoying. I'm sure that your film is actually quite good, but I'd suggest changing/improving the quality of the soundtrack, in my personal opinion.

Hello. Not offended at all. We're well aware of what form of media Newgrounds is intended for. We, however, felt it was a great way to show our fans what other things we have been up to.

I was slightly annoyed that you didn't finish watching just because it wasn't a flash. And paying homage to our hard work was friendly of you, however closed minded you have been. Nonetheless, to each his own. I respect your honesty and encourage you to give it another shot. We're hard working artists. Not uneducated fools.

Nice concept, nice art. Very nice music indeed.

I feel it is let down a little by slow frame rate, and could possible do with a few more bits of frame-by-frame animation to smooth it along in places?

Very good

Very nice to see original work, however, I still feel the format could be played around with more, and maybe be extended beyond isolated character illustrations.

Also I like the contrast between the devilish cloven hooves and the 'have a nice day' smiley - disturbing.

I really wanted to give a higher score

Unfortunately although the artwork for this animation is really really nice, I believe it is let down by two slow a frame rate. I also feel that it could be vastly improved with better voice actors/sound affects.

However, all round a very nice animation, well done!

Maybe I didn't get it but...

To me that was just unpleasant - I couldn't be bothered to finish watching it. I did like the Gerbils on Opium though!

I'm more of a fan of your 'cumbersnatch' animation, personally

My review;

Since you kindly asked for a review, I shall provide you with my feedback;

Firstly, you are quite obviously a talented draftsman/woman, and your shading is really very good. It was also interesting to see the process of the image's construction. Indeed, I felt graphically this animation was really quite impressive.

However having said that, I also feel that this animation is nothing more than a demonstration of skill - I don't really feel that it pushes any boundaries, and this is especially apparent in the use of popular computer game characters in poses that have been previously realised. It would be really interesting to see some original illustrations, or if you feel the need to continue illustrating game characters, perhaps drawing them in original settings. It just feels like these animations you're making are lacking a little something (obviously only to my personal taste, feel free to ignore me!)

Very impressive

Really enjoyed it, executed very well - make me want to have a go at pixel art myself!

Only thing I didn't see the point of was the whole DBZ references, but as I notice you mention they are a bunch of inside jokes anyway, I think that's somewhat excusable!
